Here Baron asks us to get present in our practice.  When approaching a pose, if we are worrying about what others think, or worrying if we can or can’t do it, or thinking about something else entirely, then we cannot access our personal power to experience the highest possible. our yoga practice is an opportunity to harness the power of the mind and direct this into the present moment.  Call on your breath. Focus on taking one inhale then one exhale, repeatedly.  Marvel at your body; enjoy the specific placement of limbs and positioning of your body in space.  Apply the physical alignment as best you can and enjoy the process of taking action, without worrying about the outcome!  There is joy to be found in expressing our individual selves through yoga postures. When we truly land in the present moment and flood our mat with compassion towards ourselves, magic and peace become the experience…  At your next class, choose one challenging pose to apply this principle.  Focus, breathe, smile and enjoy!
